is a simple fix, with a "Reformed Medicare" for all. We make some basic improvements
and simply put all citizens on the program with no income or age qualifications. No
questions asked, everybody treated the same. This would require a small increase in payroll
deduction portion of workers pay. I believe that would be welcomed by all, ask any working
person or employer what they have been saddled with under the Affordable Care Act.
It's true, I want to abolish the Affordable Care Act, but not until it's been replaced with our
Reformed MediCare for All. While it brought many uninsured citizens medical coverage it did
nothing to reform the cost of care and prescriptions. We don't have a health care system, we
have a disease care system. Changing that will be a long and hard road, but worth it.
30% of healthcare costs are squandered on advertisements and CEO salaries, health insurance
wastes 30% while Medicare only wastes about 3%. We can easily save money & increase access
with a single payer healthcare system. Another added bonus is that Tort reform becomes unneeded
under a Medicare for All system. The Affordable Care Act did nothing to reform what needed to be
reformed the most, the cost of care. And the Medicare Part D ended up being nothing more than a
giveaway for the pharmaceutical companies.
I would like to see the day when it is legal and acceptable for licensed MD's to include holistic
healing methods into their practices. It is time to quickly shift away from a system that is merely
disease management that relies on synthetic drugs to only contain our illness and conditions.
I have spent the last 8 years as an advocate for vitamin D awareness groups around the world. If
you want to know more here is the suggested protocol put together by myself and the other 8,500+
member Facebook group we manage. Visit my Vitamin D Protocol page here.
Some will try to label me an "anti-vaxxer". In reality I am an anti vaxxer in their current forms.
We need to makes some big changes and fast to what has happened to the quality and the politics
surrounding our vaccines. I am very much for using the technology we have available to us to
create safe, effective vaccines. What do I believe needs to be done asap.....
Defense of our Country
It is time to shift the role of our military to a true defensive and emergency force. The corrupt invasion of other countries and sending our young people to die for corporate gain must end asap. I will work to limit our military role around the world without being naive about the intentions of other governments. I recognize the need for self defense and the defense of others who are in helpless situations. I will promote non violent methods to oppose practices and policies with which we disagree, and will guide our actions toward lasting personal, community and global co-operation.
I would like to re-purpose the majority of our military and turn it inward to fight the poverty that has created so many "sacrifice zones" in our country. The suffering in some areas has become insurmountable, we need to go to war against it. In the words of 2016 presidential candidate Doctor Jill Stein "We need to make wars for oil that breed terrorism obsolete and move to a foreign policy based on diplomacy, international law & human rights".
I support a sustainable society which utilizes resources in such a way that future generations will benefit and not suffer from the practices of our generation. To this end we must practice agriculture which replenishes the soil, move to an energy efficient economy, and live in ways that respect the integrity of all natural systems. Here again, technology is being kept from us. Technology that could eliminate our addiction to energy that is strapping families with incredibly high utility bills and creating environmental disasters across the world. Fracking needs to end NOW. I know we hear of the potential water pollution due to fracking but we are missing the fact that every drilling site that uses fracking techniques is producing 100's of thousands of gallons of chemical laden waste water as a by-product. Creating 1,000's of addition toxic waste sites everywhere across the globe. Nuclear energy? We need to notify every operator of these plants that it's over. Most if not all of these aging plants can easily be converted to geo-thermal plants.
One of the driving forces behind me getting involved in the election process is my desire to do something about reforming the system. The process needs to be simplified and expanded to make the playing field level for additional parties. Not just the two major "corporate parties". I would do everything in my power to create term limits and force elected officials to use the same healthcare and retirement programs that citizens use. That's right, a Grassroots Democracy. I will work to increase public participation at every level of government and to ensure that our public representatives are fully accountable to the people who elect them. We will also work to create new types of political organizations which expand the process of participatory democracy by directly including citizens in the decision making process.
The Social Security System
It's time once and for all to put to end the politics of fear that is used by using the social security program as a wedge between us. This is one of the most important and critical social programs we have. Not only should it be protected by law it should be expanded. We need to create a contract with everybody who pays into the Social Security program, a contract that guarantees each of us is entitled to be paid. Surprisingly few people don't realize that contract does not exist today. We need to over turn Flemming v. Nestor, the case that set the precedent that the government is not legally bound to pay any of us the Social Security we all rely on in retirement.
We need to act now to protect and expand Social Security. Right now a billionaire pays the same amount of money into Social Security as someone who makes $118,500 a year and a fraction of the percentage paid by people who make less. That’s because there is a cap on taxable income that goes into the Social Security system. I would support legislation introduced by Senator Bernie Sanders to end this absurdity, by lifting this cap so that everyone who makes over $250,000 a year pays the same percentage of their income into Social Security as the middle class and working families. This would not only extend the solvency of Social Security for the next 50 years, but also bring in enough revenue to expand benefits by an average of $65 a month. It would also increase COLA's [cost of living adjustments] and lift more seniors out of poverty by increasing the minimum benefits paid to low income seniors.
Education as a Right
It's time to abolish student debt now and free a generation of Americans from debt servitude. Guarantee tuition free, world class public education from pre-school through university. We need to end high stakes standardized testing and public school privatization. Private and parochial schools have a place in our society but not when it takes funds away from our public schools. It has now become obvious that there is widespread low performance and frequent closings of failed charters in many states. And the competition from charter schools and vouchers hasn't improved ailing public schools at all. Instead, it has all weakened public schools by drawing funding away from them.
Universal Basic Income
It's true, I believe in replacing an antiquated welfare system with a form of Universal Basic Income that is distributed to all citizens 21 years of age or older [college students would qualify regardless of age] that will provide enough income to meet basic needs. Which will guarantee that each one of us can meet our simple daily needs and live with dignity while doing it. This will be the norm in 50 years, everybody deserves this now. I know to most voters this sounds like a far fetched idea but this needs to be addressed as soon as possible. Automation is coming at an alarming rate and we need leadership in place that makes sure each piece of equipment is tax properly and that the majority of that income is being put toward displaced workers. Automation taking over our jobs should be a good and welcomed thing. There will come a time when automation and technology will do most of the work and human beings will spend most of their time with their families. Eating, drinking, loving and creating when and wherever they want to. We should embrace that. This is so simple, an unconditional basic income for everyone. A just way of sharing the world's resources, lifting humanity out of poverty while preparing for automation to gladly take our jobs.
Ask my opponents from the two major corporate parties who will vote down party line 99% of the time to compare us all.....
Which one of us will fight against the expansion of pipelines?
Which one of us will fight for universal healthcare?
Which one of us will fight for a living wage?
Which one of us will fight for our environment?
Which one of us will fight for ending endless wars?
Which one of us will fight for reigning in the banks?
Which one of us will fight to get money out of politics?
Which one of us will fight for women's rights?
Which one of us will fight for minorities?
Which one of us will fight for the return of save immigration laws?
Which one of us will fight for technology to give us nearly free energy?
Which one of us will fight for you?
Neither of my Democrat or Republican opponents will do anything for any of us. Both parties have the same agenda, and work for the same people. They will all tell us many things they will do for us during the election and will never bother doing any of it. We need to stop falling for this, your grand children deserve it.
